The contest held a minute’s silence before the first and championship section results in memory of Duncan Beckley, MBE (for many years associated with Newstead Brass) and Peter Tombs (for many years associated with Thoresby Colliery Band).

A big thank you to everybody who worked so hard to make today’s contest a success.
